Allows an electronic telephone to make a voice announcement to another electronic telephone. A typical use would be for a receptionist to "page" another individual. The receptionist's message will be heard through the speaker (not the hand set). The person that is called will hear the message without picking up their handset, but you must lift the handset to talk. If the number dialed is busy, the intercom light will come on and a brief ring will be heard. This is a special feature and not all electronic telephones have it.
HOW TO USE
To call someone on the intercom:
1. Press the Intercom key
2. Dial the special 2-digit intercom number
3. Give message
4. If the called party is on the line, the person calling will hear a continuation of ringing.
5. If the calling party wants two-way communications, they can pick up their hand set.
